Principal / Creative Director, Jump Cut Communications (2012-2014, 2018-Present)
I work with brands and ad agencies to deliver consumer and B2B communications that are strategic, attention-grabbing and effective. I specialize in brand positioning and identity, messaging, advertising concept development and video production. Whether working solo or with other creatives, I deliver integrated ad campaigns, video content, social content, collateral, event experiences and more. Known for my collaborative approach to client relationships, I've partnered with Dell, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Global Wildlife Conservation, MindPop, Stanford University and Wunderman/AdPeople.
Executive Creative Director, SunPower (2014-2018)
Reporting to the CMO of this leading solar manufacturer, I led creative development of a global rebranding initiative (internal and external), plus brand roll-out across three verticals: residential, commercial and utilities. I managed a small but mighty in-house creative team, as well as agency partners, to create ad campaigns, web content, broadcast, product launches, digital advertising, video production, social and blog support, partnerships, sales enablement materials, email/landing pages, event experiences, and lead-gen for B2C, B2B and the SunPower dealer channel. My team regularly collaborated with stakeholders across functions and offices, and I served as a member of the Marketing Leadership Team.
Creative Director, Possible/Schematic (2010-2012)
I oversaw creative development of integrated brand experiences including social media, mobile, OA, web videos and related site work. Clients included Dell, Dow Chemical and Reliant Energy. I rebuilt the creative department to strengthen branding capabilities and conceptual output, and also served on the internal leadership team. Additionally, I interfaced with C-suite marketing clients and led new business pitch efforts.
Creative Director/Producer, ON Networks (2008-2010)
I directed the development and production of branded, episodic video content for multi-platform syndication. Clients included Mattel, Callaway Golf, Carl Bucherer Swiss Watches. Also led company re-branding and positioning initiative. As a member of the executive team, I helped to evolve client-facing communications, sales strategies and ad integration.
Group Creative Director, GSD&M (1998-2008)
I drove creative development and production of ad campaigns for major national and global brands, managed and mentored creative teams, led pitches and won accounts totaling nearly $200 million in first-year billings, including BMW, 7-Eleven and SunChips. Other accounts included Southwest Airlines, AT&T, Land Rover, Pennzoil, Us Weekly Magazine, Texas Parks & Wildlife, New York Post and the U.S. Olympic Committee. Worked closely with agency department leads, C-suite clients and broadcast production companies.
